  3. Just saw something unusual on your economy. How come PAL provided chrome garnish on the windshield beadings of an economy model. Even my S1 didn't have this thing. :D

    Good observation!

    The reverse lights, chrome garnish on windshield, wheel caps are all dealer fitment! I confirmed this from B.D Sir too.

    Economy had just the small plastic wheel caps originally.

  6. Nice to see the progress made on the car. Do get the red oxide applied to the welded part ASAP. I am amazed to see the panels/patch sheets of fiat readily available. Helps save a lot of time and money. Share some indicative cost of the panels, if possible.
    I am planning to get things sorted out in my S1 soon. Starting from brakes, suspension, tinkering, paintjob and stuff. Currently waiting for Vitamin M to grow on trees :D Will keep you updated on this.
    Hey my latest parts haul resulted a nice pair of new PP S1 badges. Still looking for few crucial parts. :(

  7. The entire tinkering is gonna cost me 15k including panels. Luckily no outer body panel is rusted. Yes, all panels have been applied red oxide now.

    After tinkering, the underbody and engine bay will be painted. Then mechanical will be done.

    At the end Whole body painting.

    Good to know you are collecting parts. Hope you start the restoration soon!

  8. You are extremely lucky to have a rust free outer body. What shade are you planning for her. Please do share the painting procedure along with the list of products used. Would be helpful.

  9. Glad to see the tinkering being done on the outer body. The tinker really knows his job well. The use of angle grinder and brass welding wire is commendable. The final outcome would be flawless.

    After the tinker's job, rest of the work will continue with PP parked at home.

  13. Whats the material which is being used to fill the rust spots on the dicky lid. Is it aluminum or something else.

  14. Congrats on getting the tinkering done. Really like the first picture where 331 & 297 are standing side by side. I also dream for the same. :D

  15. Thanks sagar. The dicky lid was filled by Aluminum. The tinker was referring to it as "Sheesh" in hindi.

    BTW why don't you fix the cut glasses on 331. Will completely look like a Delight. I am sure you would be having a set. Have you fixed the meter and all trims inside 331 to transform the look or is it just delighted from the outside.
